 Dear 7th grader,

If you think 7th grade is fun wait till you get up here to 8th grade. Yes you have to do a little more work but you will tons and tons of fun. The teachers are all great and you learn a lot but have yeah more fun.

You get to go on a few of field trips and most of them are cool. Anyway, back to about the teachers, Mrs. Albanese and Mrs. Co are the langue arts teachers. They both are cool but kind of teach different things. Mrs. Albanese does more of the computer things like blogs and wikis. Mrs. Co well I do not really know what her class does cause I’m not in there. The science teachers are Ms. Paschal and Dr. Waite they both are good. You learn a lot and if you like to experiments then you got it good with them. The math teachers are Mrs. Delcampo and Mr. Renri they both are cool and you learn a lot and have fun in there classes. The history teachers are Mr. Evens and Mrs. Ducharm I love Mr. Evens he is the best but you learn a lot in both classes.

You will miss your old teachers but you have a lot to look forward to when you get up here to the 8th grade.

                                 Sincerely, Brittany

Mom i appreciate you!

There are a lot people I appreciate but the person that I appreciate the most is my mom. I appreciate her so much because of all the great and wonderful things she does for me and my little brother Cole. She has gone through a divorce and made it through but best of all she got my brother and I through it and kept us strong. Now we live in a really nice house two miles down for the bay and we are happy and even though we don’t have a lot of money I think we are the happiest we have been in a long time.

When drama is going on she knows what to say and when to say it. She always helps me and comforts me even when I don’t want it. She acts like a teenager but at the same time she can be strict to. When I look at her she seems 500 feet tall. I can talk to her as if I was talking to my best friend. She has made some mistakes and knows I would to; so she try’s to warn me but I don’t listen and make the same ones as her.  Once I have made the mistakes she helps me to fix them.

That is why I love my mom so much and appreciate her for everything she does for me.

My Influence

  Best Friends

I know this girl. She is kind of hard to explain. She has been the biggest and the best influence on me and my life. This person is my best friend…. Cheyenne. I say her because of all the wonderful and good things she has done and does. She has inspired me in so many ways.

Some reasons I look up to her so much is because she gets good grades and does really good at school. She pushes herself to do better. Cheyenne plays two sports and they are field hokey and lacrosse; from my point of view she is very active. She believes in God and goes to church every Sunday. She is very loving, caring, thoughtful, considerate, trustworthy, and will do anything for me. She has a great personality; she rides horses and is very daring.

She convinces me to do better in school, help me when I need it and even when I don’t want it. She is the flame under my butt, pushing me and pushing me to do better. I see how she lives her life and I want to live mine the same. She believes in me when no one else does. When I’m being pressured, she tells me what to do. She sticks up for me no matter what. Cheyenne has never stopped loving me; she cares about me all the time. She stays out of trouble and keeps me away from it also. She can have fun without getting into trouble, I can confide in her with anything and everything. She goes along with my crazy ideas until they go too far, then she finally says no. When I know I’m doing something I shouldn’t, she pops into my mind so I do the right thing. She often makes me change my mind on the bad things that I do

When we are together, it’s like nothing can touch us; it’s like we are invincible. We have so much fun together even though we have so many differences, we just go together. She plays sports and I just try to play. She likes the outdoors and I sometimes go outside. She rides horses I just watch. We both are trustworthy, loyal and special in our own way. I Love this chick so much and always will because all of the crazy things we do. That is why she is the biggest influence on my life and always will be.

Have you every heard of Dr. Seuss? Well I have and he is one of my favorite children’s authors. Dr. Seuss was and still is one of the most famous children’s books writers. His most famous book was “Green eggs and Ham” His second most famous book is “The cat in the hat.” His real name is Theodor Seuss Geisel but he goes by Dr. Seuss.

Dr. Seuss was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 2, 1904. Some people say that the day that Theodor Seuss Geisel was born was one of the most greatest day. He lived until he 87 years old. He died on September 24, 1991. He died in La Jolla, California.

As a child Seuss was very tall, skinny, dark hair, and was very intelligent. His back round was German. He had a little sister when he was two years old, sadly she only made it to 16 months.  Some of his teachers form his childhood were Marry- Jane McLeod, Bethune, Americo Perede, Anne Sullivan. He graduated from Darthmouth Collage in 1925. He first started writing at the Darthmouth collage news paper. It was called the Jack-O-Lentern humor section. Most of his characters came from neighbors and friends of his. He lives six blocks away from a zoo witch helped start all of his ideas come together.

After Theodor Seuss graduated collage he went and joined the army, he was there for 3 years. He was sent to Hollywood. That was when he became discovered. In 1927 he married Helen Palmer. He won a academy award “Hitler Lives” with his wife. On December 18, 1966 “How the Grinch stole Christmas” was aired on CBS. He wrote and illustrated 48 books. He only wrote rhyming books. His legacy was credited as one of the greatest children’s authors of the 20TH century. The same year that Dr. Seuss dies is the same year that he published “Daisy head Mayzie”.

Dr. Seuss was famous for the books that he wrote and the movies that were made about his books. His top 5 books were

•·        Green eggs an ham

•·        Cat in the Hat

•·        One Fish two fish red fish blue fish

•·        Hop on pop

•·        Oh the places you’ll go

More then one billion of his books and cartoon papers were sold.

Now you know a ton about Dr. Seuss and you know which books are good an are rated the top 5. You also know about what he looked like as a boy. What major things took place in his life. You know about family and friends of his.

Going to LouiesSmelling the scrumptious food

Ordering my pizza and cheese fries

Hearing the sound of my moms voice

Seeing tears fall out of her eyes

Listening to the words coming out

Watching the pizza come out of the oven

Looking at the glaze over the cheese fries

Looking at it in front of my face

Digging as my stomach screams of joy

Hearing that my dog of 12 years has died

The best dog in the world

Gone and never coming back

Feeling the tears rushing down my face

Accomplishments

Joining Honor Society

Last year when I was in the 7th grade my teachers started talking about this thing called honor society. It didn’t seem like a big deal but it was. A few of my friend’s older brothers and sisters were in this thing called Honor Society. So I started to talk to them about what it was and how big it really was.

My teachers started calling people up people to give them this application to fill out if they wanted to join Honor Society. I waited and waited for my name to get called and it finally did. I was kind of nervous but didn’t know why I mean it was just a few peaces of paper that I had to fill out; but it was so much more. You had to write a essay and then have all your teachers sign it an they had to recommend you joining. After you filled out all of the papers you had to turn it in and then wait to see if you made it. Those few weeks seemed like forever. About three weeks later Mrs. Kindl started to call people back up; once again it felt like forever she finally said Brittany Reed and I got up and walked over to her desk very fast. I stood there and looked at Mrs. Kindl in her eyes and she opened her mouth and said you made Honor Society. I was so happy I thought that I was about to faint. I walked back over to my best friend Meghan and I said I made did you make it to? She said yes then we kind of screamed but held it in.

Mrs. Kindl stood in front of the class and said “congratulations to the people who made it and sorry to the people who didn’t.” As I sat in my seat I looked around the room and noticed that some people were really happy and others looked as if they could brake down into tears. Even though it made me sad to see those people nothing could bring my mood down. As Mrs. Kindl stood in front of us and told us the date of the induction ceremony. We had to go to the practices, but im not sure why. I went to all three of the practices, they were boring and long but I was so excited for the real induction to come. The night of the induction finally rolled around and even though there was so much excitement in my body I had a lot of butterflies in my stomach. Some of the things that rolled through my mind were I hope I don’t trip, or drop my candle, or even run into the person in front of me.

Once Mrs. Kindl and Ms. Andrelczyk called almost all of the people who made it up they finally called me. I walked up to were they were standing and shook there hands then took my certificate and grabbed a candle. I stood next to Mackenzie and in front of J.T. It was very intimidating standing in front of all those people. They said congratulations to all of us and we went back to our seats.

The reason I am so proud of this accomplishment is that I worked hard to keep my grades up and do the best that I could do.

For you on Mothers Day

Mom

Hands that are so soft and gentle

Fingers skinny and tan

So smooth from manicures and pedicures

Always cleaning and folding

Pay the bills and take care of us

Sweat pants and T- shirts is what she walks in

As you glace in the mirror you think of

The old days hula dancing

Trying to teach me with the

Loving and caring heart you have

Dedicated to my Mom

                                                         Love Brittany
